DEGUP connects dialysis patients with suitable centres and available slots, making dialysis access simpler, faster and more convenient.
The problem
Dialysis is a recurring, life-sustaining commitment, yet finding a suitable slot can be fragmented and exhausting. Securing a suitable slot can mean contacting multiple centres, navigating different requirements, and repeatedly searching for availability that fits treatment schedules, location and payment needs, placing added strain on patients and caregivers.

- Patients & caregivers: Dialysis patients across Malaysia, initially focused on Klang and Klang Valley.
- Healthcare Partners: Dialysis centres and hospital-based dialysis units
- Corporate & CSR: Corporate looking to support employers undergoing dialysis and programme sponsors.
The Solution
DEGUP uses smart slot matching to connect patients with available dialysis slots based on their location, schedule, budget and medical needs. When no suitable slots are available, intelligent demand-driven slot creation pools patients with similar needs to help dialysis centres identify demand and open new slots or shifts that meet those needs. DEGUP also provides travel dialysis coordination , helping patients arrange treatment at their travel destinations.

Family Dialysis Care Benefit
Price: RM16,000 / year for 10 families
Dedicated care coordination service via WhatsApp for employees caring for family members on dialysis. Includes support in identifying suitable dialysis centres, travel assistance for up to two trips per family annually, and quarterly anonymised usage and impact reporting.

Beneficiaries
Program 1: Dialysis patients and caregivers who would benefit from greater community engagement and support. Program 2: B40 and low-income dialysis patients requiring additional support to navigate treatment. Program 3: B40 dialysis patients requiring financial and logistical assistance to travel home without disrupting scheduled dialysis care.
Activities
Program 1 – Day as a Caregiver A guided community engagement programme connecting 20 corporate employees with 10 dialysis patients and caregivers through personal sharing, facilitated activities and reflection to build greater understanding of everyday caregiving and dialysis-related challenges. Program 2 – Empower 20 Patients with Dialysis Care & Skills A support programme for 20 B40 and low-income dialysis patients combining patient navigation, practical education, sponsored dialysis sessions, and a wellness and peer-support workshop to help participants navigate treatment with greater confidence. Program 3 – Journey Home Fund Provide financial and logistical assistance for 20 B40 dialysis patients to return home for important family moments while maintaining their scheduled dialysis care. Support includes transit dialysis coordination, required documentation, destination dialysis sessions and travel assistance.
