THE VENTURE

Get to know
ProLadang.

ProLadang is an agricultural technology company helping paddy farmers and agricultural organisations make timely crop management decisions. Its platform, AgriAssist, combines satellite monitoring, AI analysis and agronomic knowledge to identify crop stress and potential pest and disease threats. Plot-level insights, WhatsApp alerts and AI photo diagnosis help field teams focus inspections and respond sooner. ProLadang works with farm operators, cooperatives, agencies and industry partners to make crop intelligence accessible and support more efficient farm management.

The problem

Paddy farmers face pest and disease attacks that can reduce harvests and increase production costs. Manual inspections across large areas can miss early warning signs, leaving farmers with limited time to act. Farmers and agricultural organisations need practical information on where crop stress is developing and which areas need closer inspection.

Target market

  • Paddy farm operators, cooperatives and agricultural agencies.
  • Seed producers, pest-management and drone-service partners.

The Solution

AgriAssist combines satellite crop monitoring, AI analysis and agronomic knowledge to identify crop stress and potential pest and disease threats. Plot-level insights and WhatsApp alerts help farmers and field teams prioritise inspections and take timely action. AI photo diagnosis supports field assessment, while monitoring records help teams track crop health and their response over time.

02CSR Partnership

Beneficiaries Targeted

Smallholder paddy farmers with limited access to digital crop monitoring, prioritising farmers recruited through an established cooperative, agency or local delivery partner. An initial cohort of 20 farmers is proposed.

Proposed Activities

AgriAssist Access: Provide participating farmers with digital crop monitoring during an agreed planting season. Farmer Onboarding: Register farmers and plot boundaries, and guide participants on understanding crop maps and alerts. Field Monitoring: Support local teams in recording field checks and interventions based on crop monitoring information. Impact Reporting: Provide the corporate sponsor with reporting on farmer participation, hectares monitored, platform usage, alerts and observed results.

Expected Social Impact

Improve smallholder farmers’ access to crop information and support earlier field inspections. Impact can be tracked through farmers onboarded, hectares monitored, alerts delivered, platform usage, field checks and recorded interventions. Where reliable baseline data are available, yield, crop losses and input costs can also be compared.

Sponsorship & Funding

Monitoring Cost: RM4,800 for 20 farmers, assuming one hectare per farmer over four months at the AgriAssist- Basic of RM60 per hectare per month. Onboarding, training, travel, field validation and sponsor reporting are additional and subject to final programme scope.
