Teman Malaysia is a social enterprise providing elderly companionship and non-medical care services, including hospital appointment accompaniment, at-home support, and dialysis accompaniment. Through its network of trained care companions, known as Temanions, Teman helps older adults age with dignity while giving families peace of mind and creating meaningful income opportunities in the care economy.
The problem
Malaysia's ageing population is increasing the demand for reliable elderly care. Many older adults face loneliness, mobility challenges, and difficulty managing daily activities or medical appointments, while the sandwich generation struggles to balance caregiving responsibilities with work and family commitments.

Corporate Care Package
Price: RM15,000 / year
Corporate elder care benefit providing employees with access to trusted care companions for their ageing parents or parents-in-law. Temanions assist with hospital and medical appointments, physiotherapy visits, pharmacy trips, and other health-related errands, helping employees balance work and caregiving responsibilities with greater peace of mind. Ideal for: Corporations, GLCs, and employers looking to strengthen employee wellbeing through practical eldercare support. The package includes: 12-month validity 500 hours of care companionship Pooled hours shared among eligible employees Flexible booking, subject to availability Non-medical companionship and appointment assistance Flexible booking is available subject to availability.
02CSR Partnership
Beneficiaries
Underserved older adults, particularly those living alone, experiencing social isolation or facing financial barriers to accessing care.
Activities
Program 1 – Elderly Care Sponsorship Programme Provide essential non-medical care and companionship to eligible older adults based on individual needs. Services may include: Medical Appointment Support: Accompaniment for hospital and medical appointments. At-Home Companionship: Companionship and support with daily living activities. Social Engagement: Regular interaction to support well-being and ageing with dignity. By funding care services, corporates can help older adults remain connected, supported, and independent while promoting healthy ageing and dignity within the community.
Cost
Program 1 – Elderly Care Sponsorship Programme RM5,000 / sponsorship package The number of beneficiaries and mix of services provided will depend on individual care needs, travel requirements and the available sponsorship budget.
